Lakota is a chestnut Yakima Indian Pony gelding, who is about 5 years old and approximately 14.2 hands high. Lakota has a definite personality! He loves teenage girls and other horses, and enjoys being part of a herd in the paddock. He's extremely mischievous and hardy, and he is at his best in an open paddock or pasture where he can get lots of running and playing in.
Due to an old injury, his hip gets a bit stiff in very cold weather but otherwise it does not bother him. He is equally comfortable inside and outside, especially with a good blanket and some extra shavings in the winter.
Lakota has had some training in western and a little dressage, and is a smart boy who learns quickly, but is only suitable for a light rider. He is comfortable being tied, bathed, led, loaded and he stands nicely for the farrier. He would make a great companion for another horse, or a great horse for a young rider.
